Catch up with Orion Creamer, Big Chill’s CEO and Founder, about the inspiration
behind the new Classic Series stove that just launched.
Q: What are consumers drawn to lately?
Orion: Handcrafted, unique products. Customers are searching for authenticity and are looking for products that reflect this and allow them to express their individuality.
Q: What inspired the Classic Series?
Orion: Our new product line is inspired by the aesthetic of a turn-of-the-century, industrial chic movement, with a rugged, hand-crafted feel that will work with a wide variety of styles and design genres.
Q: What makes the Classic unique?
Orion: While the Big Chill Classic is styled in an industrial chic manner, it really is a purely American take on 1900’s design. The Classic mixes foundry-crafted metals and unique touches, with rich colors that make it a standout. The design is updated for a modern kitchen, so it doesn’t look Victorian or ornate like many European brands. The Classic range is quite sleek and sturdy and will be with you for years to come.
Q: How important is it to you that Big Chill products are Handcrafted in America?
Orion: It’s extremely important to me that all of Big Chill’s products for the American market are hand-assembled in Pennsylvania. I grew up in Kansas, and believe in helping to build the American dream for both our consumers and employees. Hopefully, knowing your new Classic range was handcrafted in the USA will give you a real sense of pride, accomplishment, and ownership.
